These Terms of Service (the "Terms") apply to civilreferralnetwork.com and to the local lead-generation websites operated by CIVIL REFERRAL NETWORK LLC ("Civil Referral Network," "we," "us" or "our"). By using any of these websites you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
Use of our websites
- You may use our websites for your own personal or business purposes, such as finding a local contractor or learning about home-service work.
- You agree not to misuse them: no unlawful use, no attempts to break into or disrupt them, no automated collection of their content at a scale that burdens them, and no false or misleading requests or calls.
- The text, design and other content of our websites belong to us or are used with permission. You may not copy or republish them except as the law allows.
Information only
The content of our websites is general information, written in good faith. It is not professional, legal, engineering or financial advice, and it may not fit your situation. We try to keep it accurate and current, but we do not promise that it is complete or free of errors.
Contractors are independent
The contractors reached through our websites are independent businesses. They are not our employees or agents, and we do not perform their work. We do not evaluate their licenses, insurance, qualifications or work, and we do not guarantee any job, price, schedule or result. Any agreement for work is between you and the contractor. Before you hire anyone, confirm for yourself that they hold any license or registration your state or town requires and carry the insurance you expect.
Calls and text messages
Calls placed through our websites ring through to the contractor who serves that trade and town. If the contractor can't answer, our answering service may answer, take your details, book an appointment and notify the contractor. Calls may be recorded where the caller is told so at the start of the call. Text messages are sent only to people who have agreed to receive them; reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle the information from calls and texts.
The contractor subscription
Contractors subscribe to the Service for a flat monthly fee. Under a subscription, we build and operate a website for one trade in one town, and calls from that website ring through to the subscribing contractor. Each trade in each town has one exclusive contractor at a time. Calls are answered by our answering service when the contractor can't take them, appointments are booked and the contractor is notified. Either the contractor or we may end a subscription by written notice to the other, and email counts as written notice. The specific terms of a contractor's subscription are agreed with that contractor before it starts.
Disclaimers
Our websites and the Service are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the websites will always be available or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Civil Referral Network is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from work performed or not performed by a contractor you reach through our websites. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
CIVIL REFERRAL NETWORK LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of the place you live requires otherwise.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. Using our websites after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
